Readme for MusicManIII V3.00 Beta2 (c)1991-1996 Andreas Mair ************************************************************ This is only a BETA release of MusicManIII. Currently there is only unformated (pre-released) documentation and no online help available. Only german and english program (via locale.library) and documentation available. If anyone wants to build catalogs for not included languages please contact me to get more infor- mation about this. Note: Everyone translating the catalog AND documentation to an unincluded language get registration for FREE! Not all requesters are implemented yet: - Project/Create MC - Project/Export - Project/Import - Record/Copy - Record/CD player (is under development) - File/Create/#? - File/Save/#? - File/Manager (a little bit) - Macros/#? All other functions are FULLY operable! This beta release lacks an installer too. The final release of MMIII V3.00 will include: - documentation (maybe only a printed edition which you may order while registering?) - online help in english and german - installer script in english and german - less bugs (are there any?) - more features (ARexx-Port etc.) ************************************************************ MusicManIII V3.00 is SHAREWARE. So what you got here is only a limited DEMO. If you want to know what limitations there are you'd better start MusicManIII and select "Project/About/ Distribution" because it depends on the installed key-file. If you want to register yourself as an user of MMIII I ask you to wait until the final 3.00 release is available (I suggest you use the time in between to check if it satisfies your needs). Prices etc. will be available by then. ************************************************************ Some notes on usage =================== (you'd better read full docu for detailed information) I think (and hope) that mostly MusicManIII is self-explai- ning. The only important thing is that if you want to add a new record by selecting "Record/Create" you have to take care of following things: After selecting this item the "Interpreter:" entryfield is active. Press TAB or CursorDown to jump to the next entryfield. Or press Shift+TAB or CursorUp to jump to the previous entryfield. When you've you data in the entryfields press RETURN (or ESC is you want to lose changes made to the current entryfield) to switch to the songs entryfields (the big ListView-Gadget). Here you are able to add songs if you press TAB to get to the next song line. Press RETURN to leave the current song line and to NOT add songs anymore. Leaving a song line means that you edited the song, the length and the bpm (this depends on you prefs because you can disable entering of length and bpm). Please note that songs will always be added if you leave the last song line with the TAB-key! Btw: the songs ListView-Gadget contains 5 columns (left to right): - Number The number of the songs. Holds colour for marking too. - Song name - Song length or Counter in MC mode, depending on your prefs. - BPM (Beats per minute) - Special field anything you want. Not supported yet!!! ************************************************************ I hope you like MusicManIII V3.00 and you give me some feedback because one can only say it's rubbish if (s)he told the author what (s)he disliked and the author didn't care for that.
