StatTrak for Baseball Convert Program 1.3 StatTrak 4.x (formerly SOFF BALLS) and later versions are NOT compatible with SOFF BALLS versions 3.2 and earlier. File formats have changed. However, you can create files in the new 4.x and later format from files created by 3.x and earlier versions by running SBCONV.EXE. Type SBCONV to start the program. Then enter the path where the old files exist and the path where you want the new files to be created. If a file you are converting to already exists, you can replace the file or bypass processing that file. Be very careful replacing file (the old file will be deleted). Please note the following: - Player names longer than 14 characters will be truncated. The names were shortened in 4.0 to allow more categories to be displayed on the batting and pitching report screens. - League games will be converted to game type 1, tournament games to game type 2, and miscellaneous games to game type 3. Versions 4.x and later allow you to name up to 7 game types. You may want to set up new game types and then change the game types for previously recorded games after converting the files. - All sacrifices will be converted to sacrifice flies. Versions 4.x and later track both sacrifice flies and sacrifice hits (sacrifice bunts). Previous versions put all sacrifices into the same category. - On-base percentage (OBP) is computed differently with 4.x and later versions. Sacrifice flies are now included in the OBP computation (same as major league method - see the README file). The following files can be converted with the convert program: SETUP.DAT (old) to SBSETUP.DAT Color settings, name your own categories, report formats, and other setup options are stored in this file.
