Any replacement must possess the reasoning skills, perseverance, and logic to outwit enemies in battle situations. Therefore, General Oldtimer has created a series of drills to test perspective successors. Each drill contains blinking orbs which must be collected and a goal which must be reached after collecting all the orbs. A candidate parachutes into the drill field through preset entry points at the top of the screen. Upon reaching each orb the recruit has the opportunity to strategically place a new piece of terrain before parachuting again. Some drills have pieces of land that appear or disappear upon reaching specially colored orbs. Drills may also include hovercrafts to help recruits. Paratrooper Bob is looking to follow in his family's long military heritage. Can you help Bob ascend the ranks of the military from a lowly recruit to become the next Five Star General? 3Press any key to continue( or 'X' to exit help)... ^ 1Page 2 5 *** P A R A T R O O P E R B O B 1 *** 4Main Menu Description... When you confirm your choice by pressing SPACE, Bob will proceed to paratroop down into the drill field. Bob walks along surfaces in the direction he is facing and does an about face when an object is in front of him. If Bob falls off an edge, he will use his parachute to float down for a safe landing. When Bob reaches the goal before he has recovered all the orbs or if he gets stranded without finding an orb, then he has failed the drill. Bob must always be released so that he will reach an orb (or the goal once all the orbs have been collected). FPlacing A Piece Of Terrain Once Bob has reached an orb, a cross hairs will appear in that position. The cross hairs should be moved using the arrow keys. When you confirm the position by pressing SPACE, a piece of terrain will be placed and you will return to the top of the screen to select another starting arrow. 3Press any key to continue( or 'X' to exit help)... ^ 1Page 5 5 *** P A R A T R O O P E R B O B 1 *** 4Construction Kit (Write and Run Your Own Drills) If you would like to design and play your own drills, please see the registration information when exiting the game. 3Also remember that you should always check that a drill can be completed 3by playing it yourself before challenging your friends with your 3self-designed drill.
