Version Notes Version 2.0 was a major upgrade containing several new routines and major revisions of existing ones. Some teething problems have appeared and have been repaired in versions 2.01-2.05: 2.05 saves the Curve, Sign Factor and Range to disk. 2.04 restores the "ruler" on the color monitor. 2.03 eliminates problems with the automatic recalculation of the GPA/AVG when recording grades. Error checking has been improved. 2.02 fixes a bug in the display of ranges for number grades and one in the routine for deleting a student's record which affected subsequent final grades. Version 2.01 fixes a bug in the printing of names that caused names to be abbreviated under certain circumstances. Maximum number of grades reduced from 29 to 28 to make room for display of final grade. Adding by row fixed to display "GRADE" for final grade. The "ruler" feature has also been improved. ________________________________ Version 2.0 has several major changes. Final grades can now be added or changed manually and saved with the roster. You can merge any number of rosters, letter or number. There are several new printing options, including the ability to print one grade with each name, to specify the number of words in the name to be printed and to set the line spacing. Names themselves can now be entries of up to 255 characters. Final grade displays can also give the cumulative point total for each student and the percentage of the maximum possible points which that total represents. Typo checking has been improved. You can now scroll twice as fast through the roster by pressing both holding down both mouse buttons. Version 1.8 allows you to sort records on any field, i.e. to arrange students in descending order according to their grades for any particular assignment, or final scores. Other minor fixes. Version 1.7 fixes some bugs in the way 1.6 handled grades recorded as slashes or spaces in number files. Version 1.6 contains several improvements over version 1.3. First, the current version is compiled, so you can run it directly from the desktop. Other new features include the ability to -- transform all grades and files recorded as scores into equivalent letter grades -- automatically set or adjust the ranges for each grade to fit a normal curve -- automatically check for typos when recording grades -- change the labels for assignments -- delete an assignment -- store and display up to 30 grades for each student -- print roster with single or double spacing There are, in addition, many other minor improvements in the program.
