About FileCon...

     On  this  disk  you  will find a copy  of  a  program  called 
FileCon.  This  utility program can be used to convert MIDI  music 
files,  in  certain  formats,  to formats  compatible  with  Sonus 
sequencing  and scoring products for the Atari  ST.  The  complete 
instructions for using FileCon are provided in the form of a  disk 
file,  called FILECON.TXT. This is primarily because FileCon is an 
evolving  program.  New  formats and features will  constantly  be 
added,  and  new  updates  sent out.  Please  read  or  print  the 
FILECON.TXT file before using the program.

     Because of the nature of file conversion utilities,  you  may 
find that FileCon cannot successfully convert all of the files you 
have  in  a particular format.  Software publishers  are  cautious 
about handing out information about the internal workings of their 
products,  such as the format of their data files. This means that 
some  formats have to be picked apart by trial and error.  If  you 
find  that  FileCon fails to convert one of your files  then  call 
Sonus  at  the  number  provided in  the  TXT  file.  Please  have 
available  the version number of the program the file  came  from, 
and the version number of FileCon which you are using.  We may ask 
you to send us a copy of the file that fails to convert.  Once  we 
have fixed the problem you will recieve an updated copy of FileCon 
in the mail.

     Don't  be  too  disappointed if FileCon  does  not  currently 
support your favorite sequencer's file format. We are working hard 
to provide new formats as quickly a possible.
