USING A STYLE SHEET Every document you create is formatted with a style sheet. The style sheet is a file containing the page format you have chosen and the paragraph styles you have designed. When you create a new document by choosing New... in the File menu or clicking on the close box, an Item Selector is displayed for you to load in an existing style sheet. USING A STYLE SHEET (continued) If you want to create a new style sheet, click on CANCEL, then choose your page format. PAGE FORMAT The page format form allows you to select your paper size, the page orientation, and a single or double- sided master page. PAPER SIZE Choose one of 4 paper sizes: * Letter 8« x 11 inches * Note 8« x 5« inches * Legal 8« x 14 inches * A4 210 x 297 mm SINGLE/DOUBLE-SIDED MASTER PAGE Select All pages alike to create a single, right-handed, master page, and Left & right to create a double- sided master page. PAGE ORIENTATION Select Portrait to make all the pages in your document print normally across the page and Landscape to make them all print sideways. (NOTE: not all printers can print sideways.) PARAGRAPH STYLES For details on creating and using paragraph styles, see "Paragraph styles" in the Help menu. SAVING THE STYLE SHEET To save the current style sheet to disk, select Save style sheet... in the File menu. An Item Selector will be displayed for you to type in a name (e.g. DOCUMENT.STY).
