Hello Bebie, Well this is your friend from Crockett California once again. How are you? I haven't heard from you in a while so I thought I'd better remind you that I am still here and looking forward to hearing from you. I hope that your holidays were a lot of fun. Something tells me though that there wasn't any snow where you live during Christmas. Is it hot where you live during the Christmas season? You know Bebie this holiday season was very taxing for me. With all the hustle an bustle and especially the work load it's been hard finding time for myself to do just simple relaxing things like writing letters. I know some times you must think "Gee I wonder what ever happened to this person? " when you may not hear from someone for a while. Yet I want to let you know that I have been thinking of you lot and I am really wondering how you are. I know that since the rebel revolt there in the Philippines mail may have been a little slow, yet I will wait for your letters any time you have a chance and the desire to drop me a line ok? I do hope that all is fine with you these days and that your life is happy and full of joy. You know Bebie I just want to remind you that one of the many things I really like about you is your very pleasant and positive attitude. you have a composure that shows a healthy involvement with life and true desire for the good things. And when I mention the good things I mean it is your preference for the wholesome and settling things ion life, like a healthy involvement with others , education and things like that. You also have a shining type of energy in your letters that is always such a pleasure to read. I will be returning to the Philippines in the not to distant future and I think that it would be a good thing for the two of us to get together for a while and just hang around. You know, we can just talk of wehatevercomes to mind and you can show me some of the area which you call your home. Wouldn't that be fun! And this time I will let you know about there date of my arrival because this next time it won't be such a rushed and short notice venture. How are you Bebie? I love all the little cards and letters that you have sent so far and I certainly love all the photos that you have sent. I can tell you that things have been going very well here. I finished the musical part of that song I told you about and so I guess I'll send it along with the words that i write for you. I certainly hope that you like it. It was really an experimental piece with some new equipment that I had purchased. And since that time I have added to and expanded my studio. And recently I have become involved in some very interesting new projects with a variety of people. It's kind of interesting how things have progressed. Since i love to write electronic music and dance I started looking for others in the San Francisco area who were active in the same thing. You see most people who write dance music these day use computers to remember the compositions that they write. That's what I do. The computer acts just like a tape recorder. In fact it's even better. All my keyboards instruments are hooked into the compute, so when I compose a little piece the computer remembers what I have done and then plays the instrument back just like I played it. That way i can listen for any mistakes i have made or make changes that i feel would be better. That way I don't have to worry about using up gobs and gobs of cassette tape. So now I'm working with several various instruments and doing complete compositions. Anyway I was getting very curious as to whom else might be doing similar projects. So I hooked up a little box to my telephone that allows my computer to talk to the computers of other people who had music studios. In just a few days there were people sending messages to me from all over the United States! In fact there have been people calling me from thousands of miles away! You just can't believe how fun this is. There is a fellow who likes to play classical music and he lives in another state. So he has his keyboard up to a computer and plays away to his hearts content. The music travels over the telephone lines, in little bleeps and blats, and my computer listens to his his song and plays my keyboard just like he plays! Not only that, it prints out the music so you can read it! Boy I tell ya, if Mozart could see this he would roll over in his grave. Then I can play a dance tune and in the same manner his keyboard will play the tune even if he is thousands of miles away. Wow! You know what? I have a little kitty cat and she sits in my studio while I'm working. The other day she was feeling a little down and out so i picked her up and put her paw on a few keys of the keyboard. I held her paw real gently and put it down on a few keys like she was playing a little lullaby. In a few minutes she was purring as happy as could be. So I guess music really is a universal language. As for the everything else, I am still hoping to hear from you and hoping that you have not been discouraged by any delays in my letter writing. I think about you all the time and I hope that you are well and happy. May the Good Lord bless you Bebie today and every day. And may he shower your whole family with the richness and beauty of a truly wonderful life. Your friend in Crockett, Donald.
