The following options may be used in conjunction with the basic <.R>ead
command:

 These affect the selection and direction the messages will be printed out.
Those which have a single stroke synonym will be marked.

  <A>ll messages in room
  <F>orward retrieval in room   (Also accessible as a simple <F>)
  <G>lobal new messages in the system
  <N>ew messages in room        (Also accessible as a simple <N>)
  <O>ld messages in room        (Also accessible as a simple <O>)
  <R>everse retrieval in room   (Also accessible as a simple <R>)

 The following options allow specification of how messages will be transmitted
to you.  Normally, only straight ASCII transmission is used.  By specifying one
of these options, you may specify that the information be transmitted to you
using the protocols listed.

  <W>C protocol message transmission            <Network format>
  <X>modem protocol message transmission        <Normal format>

 When using these options with message reading, use the <X> option, unless you
really are sure you want the messages in network format!  A typical command
string might be <.RXN> which would show on your screen as 

 .Read Xmodem-protocol New-messages

 The following options pertain to directory rooms only.

  <B>inary file printout
  <D>irectory of files in room
  <T>extfile printout <C/R>
  <T>extfile printout <F>ormatted

 When the file reading capabilities are accessed (i.e., <B> and <T>), the <W>
and <X> options, discussed above, may be used to download the files via
Ward Christiansen protocol (NOTE: <W> and <X> are equivalent for files).
