K1 ED-LIB v1.2 update This version includes two new features not covered in the user's manual: Key Equivalents and a Midi Thru function. Key Equivalents There are now key commands which duplicate most of the menu commands. Additionally, the + and - keys will increment and decrement single or multi patches. NOTE! Any key commands will not take effect if the mouse cursor is positioned over the on-screen keyboard. If you type a key command while the cursor is on the keyboard, simply move the mouse away and your key command will then execute. Midi Thru You can enable Midi Thru (ALT U) and ANY Midi data received at the Midi In port of the ST will be echoed to the Midi Out Port (along with any K1Ed-Lib screen edits). This is useful for K1 module/rack users who wish to use an external controller in conjunction with K1Ed-Lib. You will still need "two way" K1<=>ST communication to send or receive bulk single or multi patches however (and if you leave Midi Thru ON, the program will automatically turn it off for you-- since you don't want to echo System Exclusive patch data). Once the data is in the computer, you can connect an external controller to the ST Midi in and edit sounds with "one way" K1<-ST communication. NOTE! While the program does a fairly decent job of keeping track and sorting note ON's with patch edit commands, if you have a lot of external Midi Note activity going while editing, there can be some stuck notes. Also you may run into situations where you make an edit and don't hear any difference in the sound, just click anywhere on the edit screen to re-send the edit to the K1.
