Dear Customer, We apologize for the delay in shipping your upgrade. Thank you for your understanding and patience. This program has been extensively tested (part of the reason for the delay) but you never know when a bug will show up. Should such a circumstance arise, please try to fully document the problem and the circumstances that caused it, then contact us by voice or mail so that we may fix it. Ple ase be sure that you have read the manual thoroughly and that the problem is indeed a bug. If you find and report a bug your next upgrade is free. We will be upgrading the program more frequently now that the new framework is complete. Upgrading from version 2.0 will revert to $5 ($7.50 outside of North America). Our new phone messages wil l always contain the latest version number and we will be posting any minor upgrade announcements on GENIE. MANUAL ADDENDA You are not allowed to move the cursor during any sight drill except scales. You cannot enter notes onto the grids while practicing key signatures, or during key signature or instrument drills. You spell melodic minor in its ascending form only. When a sight drill question is shown on the text grid, the normal selection grid will not appear. Auto Cursor is set individually for each form and drill. You may set Auto Cursor for drills in the Parameters Dialog. Score printouts follow the format of the on-screen scores. One exception being the numbers to the left of certain scores. In the case of Sound Intervals and Pitch the number indicates the number of forms played. For Sound Chords and Arpeggios it still indicates the number of notes in the form and you will actually see "One Played", "Two played", etc. printed as a heading. See "Scores Dialog". When you set loop points only those positions falling in between will be played regardless of whether "Loop" is selected or not. You may hear the patches you set in the midi dialog box by clicking and holding the mouse button over the label of the sound ("Main", "Penalty", "Reward" or "Click"). A note off command will not be s ent until you release the button. This is handy for hearing sounds with slower attacks. The screen must be clear to access accessories. Filter only applies to the current staff position. (The one over the arrow.) MANUAL ERRATA The "Enter/Return/CR" key will not enter forms onto the grids. If you save music during a drill, the far left staff position that the program only uses during drills it will not be present when you load the music again. OTHER STUFF Included on your disk is an accessory that allows you to use the Take Note 2.0 font outside of the prog ram (TN_FONT.ACC). Use of a screen accelerator is highly recommended. The currently available Warp 9 is excellent although there are several others that do nicely. VERSION 2.01 Version 2.0 broke on certain memory upgraded machines. This was a compiler problem not our coding. Version 2.01 was recompiled with an older compiler. VERSION 2.02 Both random chords and arpeggios were using the added notes set in the Chords Dialog. Arpeggios now use the proper added notes set in the Arpeggios dialog. VERSION 2.03 Midi Input would not work within a grid that was shut off either by the user or the program. This has been fixed. VERSION 2.04 The Midi Dialog In Channel box now flashes for Casios. Scoring is really diasbled when deselected.
