the setup menu:

from this menu you can do
three things:
 1. change the mouse system
 2. change the game delay

option 1:
included with Ancients are
two different mouse systems.
The default system works with
a microsoft compatable mouse.
Some third party mice are not
totally microsoft compatable.
If you experience difficulty
using your mouse, try toggling
the mouse system while in
the setup menu.

option 2:
You can either add or subract
the delay time.  the delay time
is used mostly during combat to
moderate the rate at which text
flows through the text window.
First time players should have
a high delay, while pros may wish
to speed up combat by not having
a delay at all.
