Well, a great part of the arcade emulation experience is the nostalgia. For this, reason each game that Replay runs will have a place for stories about the game from anyone who wants to contribute. There are a lot of games that bring back particular memories from the era when we played them. And after all, the real purpose of the arcade emulation scene is to preserve the memories. Mail any memories you have to 'kevin@isgtec.com' and I'll add them to the file. -------- Jeff Mercer (riffer@afn.org): Super PacMan reminds me of the Alachua County Fairgrounds... We have yearly fairs here in Alachua County, Florida and this one year that I went I was excited to find a *huge* tent full of arcade games! This included a PacMan bootleg that had the same gameplay but entirely different "break" sequences, but it also included Super PacMan. Needless to say I was pretty upset that it was the only place I knew of to play the game, especially since my parents weren't too happy about giving me an endless supply of quarters, :) Fortunately, it wasn't too many months before the first Super PacMan game showed up in Gainesville, and I could play it again. It was at an odd little arcade called "Fun And Games" that tended to have a lot of obnoxious kids, and rude attendants. But it was close and it had some of the more obscure games (such as Ladybug and Super PacMan).
