Information for when running 64net v1.81.01 as a TSR!
-----------------------------------------------------

To shift 64NET into back ground press "B" .. ALT-A will then bring it to
foreground where it will poll the ports continously. 64NET can then be
shoved out of sight again when needed with B. 64NET runs exclusively when in
foreground, but shares the CPU while in back ground.
LOAD and SAVE operations however scab 100% CPU time as they are relatively
short operations.

While 64NET is operating in the background it will (by default) check all
the ports once every 2 or so seconds.

TSR mode operation can be fine tuned with the following:

in 64net.ini under the [PREFERENCES] section:
TSR MODE - start 64net in the TSR mode.
TSR BUFFER nnnnn - set the default amount of "extra" RAM 64NET keeps
allocated for itself. the default is 32KB, but 8KB seems
		    fairly stable.
TSR DELAY nnnnn - Set the number of ticks between poll checks. 1 Tick is
approx 1/18.2 seconds. The default value is 37 (approx 2
		    seconds.)

SPEED nnnnn - This option is not new, but if you set this value to a
relatively small number (i use 100 on a 386SX33, so say
about 700 on a 486DX33) so that the sync tolerance for
64NET is "narrow". This will ensure that 64net uses very
little CPU time while in back ground. I have found on my
system the usage is approx 5-10%.

NOTE: 64NET will chew up about 300-400KB of RAM to operate!! This will also
limit your range of applications you can run "over" 64net.
The Application screen preserver will only preserve a 80x25 screen on page
#0 .. ie most "normal" screens. 80x43 screens should be ok, as 64net will
only alter the upper 25 rows anyway... 132 column and graphical screens could
prove a worry!

Features which may be added if you like the sound of them may include a kewl
"Drive light" effect on the screen when ever 64NET is doing something..
(perhaps a red "*" or something in the top left or right corner of the
screen.

If you find any bugs, as with other versions, please contact me so
that they may be promptly corrected!

NOTE: The 64net pop-up hotkey is subject to change and may in fact
become configurable.

Well, there you go!
