Welcome to the latest AdLib Bank File! This is the latest Bank File that I have compiled. Originally I had planned on do this compilation on a monthly basis, but it has gotten increasingly hard to find new instrument files. I have not had the user imput to this listing, that I had hoped for, but I will continue to look for more files to includein the listing. If you have any instruments that are not in this Bank file, please upload them and leave me a message on either of the following BBS': CPU BBS---SysOp:Dale Jonnasson (714) 688-2658 (714) 688-2541 both are PCPursuitable and HST or VGER Control BBS---SysOp:Bob Altenburger (714) 371-4789 HST and PCPursuitable Now, on to the good stuff... This STANDARD.BNK contains 1082 different .INS files. These are not files that have been renamed by AdLib's BANKMNG program, but are completely different from each other. Also, I have include a much better list of the different instruments. I used a program called RPTBNK.EXE, that go into the .BNK to get the list of instruments, as well as the different settings for the Instument Maker program that is available from AdLib. This is a very large text file, so I wouldn't suggest that it be printed out, unless you have about 625 pages of paper to spend on it. I freely give these files into the Public Domain and do not request any kind of compensation for this service. (Although I won't turn away any money sent to me ). All I ask is the following: Don't separate the listing and this text file from the archive, Please keep the archive file named MAY91BNK.???, where the ??? are the archive type (ie:ZIP, ZOO, ARJ, LZH, etc.), and finally that you don't take credit for the compilation. If you have any questions or new files to be included in the next listing, please contact me through either of the affore-mentioned BBS'. As I get new files to be included, those that have sent me files, will be included in the text file as contributors to that file listing. That's it for this month, remember that those that share help others to produce better quality music. Enjoy the new files and remember to replace the old .BNK file with this one. Catch you on the floppy-side, Bob Givens May 8, 1991
