EGAINT AND KEYBOARD ENHANCERS Egaint relies on BIOS for reading the keyboard, so, no, this doesn't (well, it shouldn't) mean that egaint is non-compatible with TSR keyboard enhancers. Rather, this means egaint plays better with them. If you have a keyboard enhancer which adjusts the typematic rate, you will probably find that playing egaint with it is a tad bit easier than playing without it. I'm not quite sure how to explain this, so that's all I'm going to say: you'll just have to try it out yourself. I personally use this archaic program (copyrighted 1985) by Skip Gilbrech called "kbfix2"; though it's old, it quite versatile: not only does it adjust the typematic rate of my keyboard, but it also provides an extended keyboard buffer (among other things). Unfortunately, I got years and several computers ago without any sort of documentation whatsoever, so I don't know whether it's shareware or whether the author still supports it (and if there is a newer version).
