Exis is looking for new beta testers for Telix version 4.0á! If you would like to be considered, please complete the following informational questionnaire and mail it (via post, not electronically) to: Exis Inc. PO Box 130 West Hill, ON Canada M1E 4R4 If selected, you will receive notification in the mail. Due to the expected large volume of applications, we cannot send out notices of non-selection. Selection will be made by July 15, 1991. Note that the following are the most important criteria for beta testing consideration: - Hardware configuration not used by current beta testers or other applicants. (Includes CPU, modem, serial card w/ proprietary 8250 compatible chips, monitors, networks, or a combination of the above) - Access to systems where more exotic terminals such as the VT320, IBM 3201, Wyse-60, and others may be tested. - Access to various networks (Novell, Ungermann-Bass, Lantastic, 3Com, etc) which have communications servers or modem pools. This is a mid-range priority, and lack of access will not hurt your chances in any way. - Ideas, and the ability to put them in clear, concise detail, which will also be of great importance when reporting bugs. This is the MOST important criteria. - Wherewithal to afford possible long distance calls to Toronto on a regular basis. Least important criteria for consideration (but still considered) are: - Demographics. Long time and first time users are both required. All applications are considered regardless of past experience as the final product should be easy for ANYONE to use and set up, yet powerful enough for the most advanced user. There is no fixed number of slots available, but it is estimated to be between 15 and 30, divided up based on the variety of applications received. Selectees will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement. NOTE WELL! EXIS IS NOT INTERESTED IN THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF TESTERS AND WE *WILL* BE ABLE TO SPOT AND INSTANTLY REJECT SUCH APPLICATIONS: - People who want to be a tester just to be the first to have Telix 4.0. - People who want to test so they can gloat to their friends. - People who do not normally use or care about Telix. Ok, enough of that -- now on to the application. Please complete it as best you can, and include anything you think might be relevant in a given category. Best of luck! ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Beta testers application for Telix 4.0 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal Name _______________________________________ information Address _______________________________________ City _______________________________________ Province/State/Country _______________________________________ Country _______________________________________ Voice Phone ( )____________ Data ______________ Computer Please list your hardware configuration(s) in detail: information If more space is needed, please use the back. ________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ ________________________________________________ I have been a DOS user for ____ years, and a modem user for ____ years.
