Newer 1440 HST's won't accept the string that was being set to bring up
the factory settings, then write them to NRAM (AT&F&W).  This string has
been reworked so that the &W is sent in a separate command.  In HST's
with newer ROMs, this was causing some of the settings not to be
recorded, namely M0 and X7.
