We hope that you will enjoy the contents of this disk, of which a lot of time and effort has gone into the making, both by us and obviously by the authors of the programs that appear on here. Many of the programs on this compilation are Shareware. This means that if you use a particular program often, you will be expected to send a donation to the author. Some programs will have disabled features in them, i.e save or print, which will only be enabled when you send off the registration fee, and the author has sent you the full version. Registering your software, will in most cases give you preferential treatment from the author, i.e bug fixes, technical support and updated versions. Even if the program is not shareware, and you enjoy using it, please think about dropping a line to the author just to let him know. All programmers enjoy a bit of praise from time to time. If you have a written a program which you think is worthy of inclusion in the library, then please do not hesitate to send it in, with a short note explaining what it does and the machine requirements to run. We offer a one for one swap on any disk accepted into the library. With the price of hard drives dropping through the floor, you may find that many of the titles on this CD are either HD installable or in the case of AGA demos, HD only. Please remember that when a program is installed to hard drive it is possible that it may require extra memory to run. If a program runs fine from floppy, but fails to run when installed, read the documentation about the requirements of that particular program. If you have any problems running any of the programs you have taken from this CD, please read the documentation about requirements, i.e. Kickstart version, memory requirements, BEFORE calling us for help. It may just save you the price of a phonecall!!! 17 Bit Software take no responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage from use or misuse of any of the programs on this compilation. This compilation is copyright 17 Bit Software 1995. All original program copyrights are held with the individual authors. If you have any queries about the CD, submissions for the library or anything else for that matter either write or call us. 17 Bit Software 1st Floor Offices 2/8 Market Street Wakefield West Yorkshire WF1 1DH Tel (01924) (366982) Fax (01924) (200943) @endnode @node "Instructions" "Instructions on Use" It really is dead easy to use this CD. Honestly. Just click on a category of disks that you may find interesting. Read the disk descriptions and if you like what you read, click the Unpack Disk button. A requester will appear asking you which device you would like to unpack to. Select the device name of your choice and click on OK. Insert a blank disk (it doesnt even have to be formatted first!!!) and hit return. Thats it, easy. @endnode @node "Searching the Guide" "Searching the Guide" Searching the guide can be done in either of two ways. You can search by category or you can search the full index file. To search the full index, click on the Full Index bar in on the Main Menu. When the guide file has appeared, hold the right mouse button down and move the mouse pointer to the top of the screen. Select Find Text from the Navigation menu, and type in the word or phrase that you wish to search for. When the results have been printed, highlight the text which contains the word and this will take you to the individual disk. You can then unpack from here. To search by category, instead of selecting Full Index, select a category i.e. demos or utilities and repeat the steps. @endnode @node "Credits" "Credits" Amigaguide Database - Robert Crossley.
