/               MAZE ESCAPE
/This is a two player game - you and your
/opponent start out in the center of a
/large playing field partially covered by a
/maze.
/The first player to move his/her circular
/marker out of the playing field wins the
/game. Your marker is the same color as
/your name at the bottom of the screen.
/Build the maze as you play by inserting
/maze pieces into the maze.

/Each player takes his/her turn -
/1) Move the maze piece(s) into the maze by
/   using the arrow keys. When the piece
/   turns green, you can cement it into the
/   maze by hitting the Enter key.
/2) Move your marker up to 4 squares.  The
/   distance depends on the starting maze
/   that you chose.  Hit the enter key to
/   end your turn.
/Follow the instructions at the bottom of
/the screen if you get confused.

/Your marker can move outside the maze, but
/it must be in the maze at the end of your
/turn.

/Moving and turning the maze pieces -
/  Move the maze pieces with the arrow
/  keys.
/  Turn the piece with the '+', '-', or
/  space bar.
/  Flip the piece with the 'F' or '\' keys.
/  Cement the piece with the Enter key.

/The piece must be green before cementing.
/The piece will turn green when -
/   Two or more edges contact the maze, and
/   An open edge of the maze piece is in
/   contact with an open edge of the maze.
/There are two main things to consider when
/placing a maze piece -
/   Will the new piece make it easier for
/   you to exit the maze ?
/   Will the new piece make it harder for
/   your opponent to exit the maze ?

/You have a choice of four starting mazes.
/The maze you choose determines how you
/take your turn -
/  MAZE 1: You have 2 maze pieces to move.
/          Move your marker 3 squares.
/  MAZE 2: You have 1 maze piece to move.
/          Move your marker 2 squares.
/  MAZE 3: You have 2 maze pieces to move.
/          Move your marker 4 squares.
/  MAZE 4: You have 2 maze pieces to move.

/Keyboard commands -
/   'Arrow' keys: move marker or piece.
/   '+' or space bar: rotate piece right.
/   '-' key         : rotate piece left.
/   'F' or '\' keys : flip the maze piece.
/   'Enter' key: cement a maze piece.
/   'Esc' key: skip part of your turn.
/   'O': options - choose a starting maze.
/   'Q' key: Quit Maze Escape.
