^014@Serendipity Tech Support 1-500-67HUBIE simmer@crl.com ^011@Miscellaneous Technical Issues If you have problems with Hubie crashing or behaving erratically, please verify the following system settings : ^013 CONFIG.SYS FILES and BUFFERS should be set at at least 20. STACKS should be set at 9,256 or higher. COMSPEC should be set to the COMMAND.COM you boot from. ^013 AUTOEXEC.BAT BLASTER environment variable should be present for initial sound card setup. ( continued ) ^013 RAM Memory You should have at least 2MB of total RAM. Conventional Memory can be as low as 300K. Disabling Sound and/or Music reduces RAM requirements. To see how much RAM your PC is set up to use, type MEM [Enter] at the DOS prompt. ^013 DMPI Memory Hubie uses DPMI memory. This means you must have ^014@HIMEM.SYS loaded, or be running under OS/2 or Windows 95. If none is available, Hubie will try to install its own DPMI server. If that fails to work, you should set up your system for use with HIMEM.SYS. Check your DOS manual for details. \\Page
