\ Introduction: PolyTile is a board game with color pieces on hexagonal or square grid. It is easy to learn, but hard to master. The object of the game is to remove all the pieces except one in as few moves as possible. A move is a piece jumping over other piece landing on a blank space or another piece. The first piece jumps over the second piece landing on the third piece. To move a piece, click on the piece and then click on the space or third piece to land on. The 3 pieces should be on a straight line horizontally, vertically or diagonally. A legal move should satisfy jumping and landing condition. Depending on your skill, you can select level and board, customized or built -in. \ Jumping: 1. A primary color piece can jump over same or other primary color piece leaving two blank spaces. 2. A primary color piece can jump over a secondary color piece which contains first piece's color element. First space will be empty and second space will be piece with the secondary color minus the primary color. 3. A piece can jump over same color piece leaving two blank spaces. 4. (optional) A primary color piece or a secondary color piece can jump over Gray piece leaving a piece with a complementary color. \ Landing: 1. A piece can land on a empty space. 2. A piece can land on a piece with same color. 3. A primary color piece can land on another primary color piece. The third piece will be a secondary color piece with two primary color components. 4. (optional) A piece can land on a piece with the complementary color. The piece will be Gray piece. \ Main Menu: PolyTile New To start a new game New Board... First select desired grid and click on the spaces to place or remove gray pieces. The spaces occupied by gray pieces will be replaced by random pieces in play mode. Save the current board if satisfactory. Select 'Play' menu item to go back to play mode. Be sure to connect all the pieces. Otherwise, there will be no solution. Generally hex grid is more difficult than square grid because the moves are confined to 6 directions rather than 8 directions. \ Editor Menu: Edit New... To create new board Open... Try to remove all the secondary color and gray pieces from the corners and edges of the board first. 2. Keep trying to move all the pieces in one area. Try not to leave pieces spread out all over the board. 3. To finish in fewer moves, jump a secondary color over another secondary and/or land on the same color as often as you can.
